Jake Gribbon, has over 26 years of Sales and Management experience with hydronic and distributed refrigerant systems and equipment for commercial and industrial applications. He is 3rd generation steamfitter by trade and still holds his card for Local 675 out of Oahu.
Jake graduated from the Joint Pipefitter Apprentice and Journeyman program in Compton, Southern California in 2003 which he also received the Meritorious Award for the highest score ever achieved on the final exam. During his last year of trade school Jake was voluntold by a large design build contractor out of Southern California to travel to Hawaii to assist in design and eventually run work as a Piping foreman for an ABSL, BSL3 lab which consists of many different systems including a Geothermal system for the central plant. After this project completed Jake started his own design build firm with partners and family which grew to be one of Hawaii’s largest contractors on Oahu. Jake traveled to Guam 2009-2011 to open an office for the military buildup. Jake and his team designed and installed one of Guam’s first ever geothermal systems for a Bachelor’s Enlisted Quarters.
In 2012 Jake sold his shares of the company he started and went on to help grow one of the largest Applied Rep firms on the West Coast. Jake was in charge of growing VRF system market share in Hawaii and Guam. He educated engineers, architects, developers, and trained contractors on this product and how to apply appropriately.
Jake and his family decided it was time to get off the rock and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2017. There he took a position with LG Electronics as an Executive Regional Sales Engineer for the Southeast. Again he focused on AIA presentations for architects, educated developers and hotel brands. He also trained contractors and managed the Applied Rep sales and market share.
2021 Jake was recruited by Climate Control Group to Manage the Southeast. CCG manages multiple HVAC manufacturers ClimateMaster, ClimaCool, IEC, ClimateCraft. Jake was in charge of Sales and supporting Applied Reps for ClimateMaster and ClimaCool. At CCG Jake also did Strategic Markets work which involved direct to customer relationships, AIA presentations and education for Architects, education on industry for Developers/ end-users, etc.
Fast forward to today. Jake is the Strategic Market Executive for all James M. Pleasants's offices in the Southeast, and his main areas of interest are Geothermal Heat Pump systems, chiller plants, distributed refrigerant piping systems, and custom skid packages. He continues to educate on industry and systems at a high level. His primary focus is to educate Architects, developers, and all vertical executives on industry and energy benefits such as IRA.
